THE SOLANA

Located in the north of Mauritius, this hotel project features a hyperbolic shade sail supported by six pine poles anchored directly into the sand. Designed to create a new outdoor dining area, the structure provides effective protection from the sun, harmful UV rays and rain, while adding a distinctive architectural element to the beachfront setting.

The installation was designed to create an inviting, elegant and functional outdoor dining space. Despite some challenges with transporting the materials onto the beach and coordinating the work around the client’s schedule, the project progressed smoothly overall. In the end, the client was extremely pleased with the result and the elegant atmosphere created by the installation.
